Birth Blessings seeks to help women create the transcendent births they deserve, in the Washington DC Metro area.
Aimee has completed the clinical work required to become a Certified Professional Midwife, and she has passed the Skills Assessment (a hands-on demonstration of a variety of midwifery skills administered by the North American Registry of Midwives). She is currently working as Primary Midwife under the Supervision of a Licensed Certified Professional Midwife. Aimee anticipates applying for her Virginia license after she sits for the final written examination to complete the requirements to become a CPM.
Aimee has been the primary midwife under supervision at 25 births thus far, as of April 2008.
Aimee believes that birth is sacred and that our bodies were divinely created to safely birth our babies with minimal intervention. While Aimee is still serving repeat clients as a doula in a hospital or home setting or as a birth assistant for Birth Care for homebirths, Aimee's primary focus at this time is homebirth.
